PSALMS

reading Psalms
more beauty and
comfort every year

morning light
forms part of a cross
on the wood wall
my faith completes
the picture

Deep calleth unto deep *
filling my heart with hope
greater than my mind

* The first line of my poem is from Psalm 42: 7 (KJV).

praying the Psalms
and reading poetry
books and journals
I write new poems
about everyday life

Psalms to pray
and poems to read
sun on seawalls

Wait on the LORD:
be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the LORD.

Psalm 27: 14

“Psalms to pray” was published in Dawn Returns The Haiku Society of America 2022 Members’ Anthology. John J. Han, Editor. Haiku Society of America, New York.
